The simple terms for using OwnMic — it's free, and provided as-is.
Last updated: 19 October 2026
In plain words: OwnMic is free to use for turning your phone into a microphone for your own devices. Please use it lawfully and with consent. It's provided "as is", so we can't be liable for issues that arise from using it.
OwnMic is developed and operated by [YOUR NAME], an independent developer. "OwnMic", "we" and "us" in these terms mean the developer of the OwnMic apps and this website. By downloading or using the OwnMic apps, this website or our support chat, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use OwnMic.
OwnMic is provided to you free of charge for personal and everyday use. You may install and use it on devices you own or control. You may not resell it, or redistribute modified versions claiming to be official OwnMic.
You are responsible for how you use OwnMic and for complying with the laws in your location. We may block chats or access that break these rules.
On Windows, OwnMic routes audio into a virtual microphone, which requires a separate free virtual audio driver (for example VB-Cable). That software has its own terms and is not provided by us.
OwnMic is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device or network.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or incidental damages, lost data, or issues arising from your use of OwnMic.
What this website and our support chat store, and how to have it removed, is explained in our Privacy Policy.
We may update the apps and these terms over time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
